Animal Leaf Projects

A few months during the school year we will have at home projects for the kids to do. Our first one was an Animal Leaf project. We just finished our unit on plants in science and have started our next one on animals. We decided to combine the two with this project. All 31 kids are featured on this blog. The creativity was evident and incredible! Enjoy!

Letters to the Wampanoag Tribe

We are reading about the Pilgrims and Thanksgiving. We asked students to write a letter to the Wampanoag tribe member as a Pilgrim to thank them for all that they taught them. Featured on this blog is Corinne's letter, Alex's letter, and Haley's letter.

Seed Mosaics/pictures

Our Think Tank has been updated! One of our enrichment choices during science time was to create a seed picture or a seed mosaic. The kids really enjoyed this one! Featured below are Breckin, Leena, and Olivia.

We are all booted up!

We are so lucky to have a cart of a class set of laptops at our school. Today we had them for the entire day! We worked on websites in math to help us learn time, in reading to work on our skills, and strategies, and in science to simulate plant growth with variables changing. We had a blast! We can't wait to do it again! Pictured above is the whole class hard at work.

Pictured below are Walker and Jaesal doing time websites and Camille working on her simulated experiment in science.
